Atif is a seasoned analytics professional and have exposure to telecommunications, banking, government, retail, health care and software companies. He is currently based in Saudi Arabia and have worked in Germany and Pakistan for companies including SAP AG, The Fraunhofer Institute, TPS Pakistan and eGovernment program of Saudi Arabia. He is currently working for STC (Saudi Telecommunications) to ramp up its Customer Analytics capabilities in an advisory role.
He has helped organizations establish BI competency centers, implemented and lead teams in technical BI and analytics projects and have worked in niche domain areas including fraud detection and location intelligence.He started his career as a software engineer working for the payments industry and banking. He initiated the official Open Data initiative in Saudi Arabia through the eGovernment program and have been an active researcher with the Open Knowledge Foundation. Currently, he is working in areas of location intelligence and data monetization at STC.
