Rashina Hoda
Dr Rashina Hoda is the Director of the SEPTA research group and a Senior Lecturer in Software Engineering in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. Her industry-based doctoral research resulted in the ‘theory of self-organizing agile teams’ and she leads agile research in New Zealand.
Rashina has presented various agile topics at prominent international conferences such as Agile 2008 (Toronto), XP2010 (Norway), XP2011 (Spain, with Esther Derby), ICSE 2010 (Cape Town) etc. and has published agile research in premier journals such as IEEE Software, IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering, Information and Software Technology Journal, Empirical Software Engineering etc.
In 2012, Rashina served as the Research Chair of the International Conference on Agile and Lean Software Methods. She regularly co-chairs the CHASE workshop at ICSE and serves on the program committee of various conferences, such as XP20xx, Agile20xx, and IEEE TSE, IEEE Software, IST, ESE journals.
She designed and teaches the popular Agile and Lean course in collaboration with local industry at the University of Auckland, NZ since 2013. Rashina enjoys presenting the voice of Agile research to practitioners and academics alike. More information: www.rashina.com
