Dubai, March 19th 2016 – Lean and Agile Middle East Summit 2016, the second annual conference organized by the Lean and Agile Middle East (Agile ME) and Heriot-Watt University Dubai Campus (HWUD), had over 100 attendees from 17 countries. Developers and other IT professionals interested in Lean and Agile methodologies gathered to discover the wonders of Agile World at the Hilton Dubai Jumeirah Resort, Dubai, United Arab Emirates!
Lean and Agile ME Summit 2016 was a one-day event that brought together worldwide Lean and Agile subject matter experts, practitioners, and innovators together to share their experiences, expertise, enthusiasm, and knowledge.
The conference started with a brief introduction by Mirza Asfaar Baig on behalf of Lean and Agile ME and Dr. Mohamed Salama on behalf of Heriot-Watt University Dubai Campus. The first keynote was delivered by Jurgen Appelo, author of Management 3.0, a Top 50 Leadership Experts, and a Top 100 Great Leadership Speakers. Jurgen talked about Managing for Happiness, as the research is clear. Happy workers are more productive workers, and it’s best when managers enjoy their jobs as well. Besides Jurgen’s keynote, lectures were provided by Dave West, Mike Leber, Feras El Hajjar, Özmen Adıbelli, Tim Abbott, Mirza Asfaar Baig, Pierre Hervouet, Igor Parac, Andreas Hägglund, Lemi Orhan Ergin, Nick McKenna, Rashina Hoda, Rasmus Runberg, Andrew Schumer, Mohamed Salama, Talal Shaikh, Atif Abdul Rahman, and Amr Noaman.
